Thank you for these thoughts about positioning as designers in healthcare. Naming yourself as ‘designer’ doesn’t always help, using other titles and not using design jargon everywhere very good tips:)
Thank you, Froukje. I admit, it has been tough to drop 'designer' from my title as it's a source of pride since it represents such an important way of seeing the world. Unfortunately, I believe the organizational role of a designer is often too narrowly defined, limiting our potential to impact the business significantly. In my opinion this restricted view is a key reason why design hasn't reached its full potential or widespread adoption in business contexts. I welcome your feedback.
