The Story of Hanne Österberg

Design Voices Elevated: Season 1, Episode 8

I met Hanne five or six years ago; she was the sponsor for a couple of projects I ran as a consultant at ING Bank. I have always admired her calmness and sharp analysis of contexts. Today, she covers a Director role at Design Innovation Group, a design studio specialised in tackling social challenges.

Her shift toward design with purpose has brought her to work on the creation of more inclusive cities or ways to lower access to care. In this interview, we talk about that shift towards more meaning and purpose. We talk about design as a way to create something that didn’t exist before, as well as the role of the leader to create the right conditions to get there.
